Oregon (0-1), TCU (0-1)

Fort Worth, Texas

Oregon won for the first time under Rich Brooks despite blowing a 21-point lead.

Kenny Bryant returned an interception 97 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter for a 24-3 lead. Bryant never actually reached the end zone but was credited with the score after TCU's Steve Barker came off the bench to tackle him at midfield.

The Horned Frogs rallied behind backup Don Harris, who threw a 17-yard touchdown to Tony Accomando and a 23-yard score to Mike Renfro.

With the lead cut to 24-17, Jack Henderson was picked off by Barry Crayton, who returned it 39 yards to the end zone and tie the game.

Neil Elshire sacked Harris in the end zone for a safety but injured his knee in the process. Roy Geiger added a 39-yard field goal to seal the victory.

Final Score: Oregon 29, TCU 24
