The 1988 Notre Dame-Miami (FL) game was referred to in some media circles as "Catholics vs. Convicts", based on a t-shirt slogan created & sold by two Notre Dame students prior to the game. Notre Dame's victory ended Miami's 36-game regular season winning streak.
