Gary Wayne Kubiak (August 15, 1961) is the former head coach of the Houston Texans and the Denver Broncos. He won Super Bowl XXIX with the San Francisco 49ers as the quarterbacks coach. He also became quarterbacks coach for the Denver Broncos, in which they won Super Bowl XXXII and Super Bowl XXXIII against Brett Farve's Packers in SBXXXII and against the Atlanta Falcons in SBXXXIII. He then became the second head coach of the Texans, and led them to their first winning season in 2009, including making them to the playoffs twice. He was fired in 2013 after a 2-14 season. He returned to head coaching after being the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens for one year. He coached the Denver Broncos for 2 seasons, leading the Broncos' win against the 15-1 Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. He then became the Broncos' senior personnel advisor for 2 seasons before going to the Minnesota Vikings for 2 seasons, in which he didn't become the head coach. He was the assistant head coach for 2 seasons, while becoming the offensive advisor for one season; and even becoming the offensive coordinator for one season as well. Gary retired from coaching after the NFL season on January 21.
